:D Thank you photo shoppers! I've always wanted to do that, but dont have photo shop anymore.

Years ago I thought about getting a Calibra turbo and putting th cav turbo front end on it, Modding tha skirts to fit, and trying tp get the rear bumper to fit.

I like the nose swaps on BOTH the calavalier and the cavlibra. and yes I probably deserve to drown for this but I also like the mk2.5 astra the corsigra etc etc

It's different and probably would confuse the hell out of people

Gaz. Can you tell me what that paint code is for the purple cavalier is above, if not a specific code what and how to get it, I love cadburys purple and that colour looks sweet.

A very old thread....hmmm
The jury is out on this...not my cup o' tea, but definately different.
I'm not a big fan of sports kits and big sweeping snotters on the front...

I know I am a boring old fart, but just looks like it's a pre-cursor to the Chav brigade... so this would indeed be the first of the CHAVALIERS.

When you talk about the purple Cavalier's, do you mean the purple that the Greater Manchester Ambulance cars used in the early / mid nineties.

Used to be able to spot them a million miles away, as I never saw non ambulance cars in this colour.

I still see a couple knocking about in Manchester, on my travels.

Looked for Vauxhall Purple paint codes, which isn't easy, because some purples are considered blue, just like some turquoise greens are.

Anyway only two purples I could find were

39L Purple rain - Solid Purple

19L Technical violet metallic.

I think the ambulance cars were the solid paint, so must be Purple Rain, which was also quite common on very early Corsa- B's (First Uk badged Corsa's - Corsa A in the uk was the Nova)

Hope that helps

reminds me of an Audi in desperate need of a respray

It has got the chavved up Cavalier bonnet though!!

Would need to see it fully painted up, but not in rat black like the earlier Cavalibra

Painted properly, then I think I could appreciate it...maybe - except that bonnet.!!

Thanks for the reply Gaz, I thought maybe you had sprayed it, and when I looked at Foxycavs avatar pic that seemed to be the same colour in the pic I saw.

With some nice standard wheels and the unchaved bonnet I think it would look ace :)

problem with the bonnet is; without chavving you have a huge gap...

Way's and mean's - granted I haven't got that worked out yet, but still has to be something that looks better (maybe astra 3 grille or something?)

I'd look at mk2 astra headlights and the bonnet fettled like in the pictures but done to fit the astra lamps... of course I have no idea if it'd work.

only thing id do to that omega/audi is put the audi door handles in
