A Few Tips

After a fair few years in the motor trade and working for a "prestige" dealer, i use a few tricks i learnt so this seems the ideal place to share.

Interiors get full of dust, vents, nooks and cranny's etc etc, what some of the valeters do is keep a soft bristled paint brush, about 2" wide in your door pocket/glove box. Next time your stuck in traffice, just poke it around the vents and odd places. This helps to keep on top of it and you will notice the difference!

Tyre Black is great for your tyres, obviously, also, applied to a small sponge, and allowed to soak in, is great for dash boards and intereior trims, as well as the exterior plastics and rubber seals, also lasts a little longer than the recomended "back to black" Also removes excess T-Cut from plastic trims!

TFR in a 50 / 50 mix with hot water is fantastic on floor mats and carpets, headliners etc, and for the stubborn stains a stronger mix can be used although should be tested on a small area first. !!! WEAR GLOVES TFR actually burns my skin and causes it to peel and become irritated, so be careful !!!

T-Cut is not only great on paint, but also fantastic on glass, acting as a water repellant!

Of course i dont want to teach any one how to suck eggs, and many may of heard these tips before, but next time your sprucing the cav, give them a go!

Forgot to mention, the tyre black on the exterior plastic, can be built up over time to a great shine,

Ok i've heard of most of those handy tips, but T-cut on glass last time i accidentally smudged a bit on the rear quaterlight window, all it did was smudge lol. does it need to be rubbed in more or what?

TFR ? Sorry to be ignorant but what is it short for.

Just apply the T-Cut normally, let it stand for a minute and wipe off, I didnt believe it when i forst heard it either, but it is great, failing that windolene is just as good(thanks mum)!

TFR is traffic film remover, valeters use it as it removes the layers of dirt that build up on the glossy coats of out chariots.

i worked in W R Davies in welshpool for a while and sware by TFR, used to use it on most things, does a hell of a job sorting out stubbon marks on wheels etc. great tips

Pretty sure you can, most car shops should sell it, even if it is by small quantities, in manchester there is a company called Autoclenz, sort of like snap on tool van, but he sells clening products and chemicals, if you get pally, im sure you could by it in bulk at cost price.

Another product to look out for is G101, fantastic getting stains out. we had a truck at the yard with typical nicotiene stained roof liner and trim with ground in dirt, spray of g101 and wipe it off a few minutes later and its like new. you could see the dirt dripping off.

Yup, TFR is sold by alot of companies such as auto glym and another brand called Tardis.
