Cleaning my gearbox up... best way?
What would be the best way to clean my gearbox up?

Preassure Washer and lots of degreaser!

I agree degreaser and pressure washer maybe even some parafin and some old/cheap paint brushes, goin to be a bit of a mess where ever you do the job.

petrol and a stiff brush then power wash it....very messy mind.

face down block up the driveshaft holes and so as everyone else has said

fill the holes where the driveshafts go with rags or rubber gloves but i would use old rags,apply a load of gunk or g101,let sit for 10 mins,get a stiff brush,go at it with it then rinse,job done.

Have you done this now? how did it come out?
I use tfr normally but i've found fairy power spray left to soak for a little while is really good

I've often thought of trying one of them small kitchen steam cleaners there only about a tenner and if it dont work give it the wife as a pressie

unfortunatly I havent yet. Hopefully, next weekend will be the weekend where this gets progressed and bolted to my engine
