Best plastic trim black treatment?

Post by Stoater85 »

Guys, i currently use meguires tyre black for my black trim and it works a treat, even stays for a couple washes. What i want though is the best stuff out there, cav looks so much worse when the trim fades again.

So what is the best? And where can i buy it! Within 20 quid tho! Im not paying 300 bucks for black leopard spunk and the like.

Cheers.

The AG instant tyre dressing is quite good and AG bumper gel or whatever it's called for trim, horrible messy gunk though, tends to clot in winter time too.

Gtechniq C4 is the best, lasts for 2 years once applied.

I've been using teak oil on my Bluebird for a couple of years, it works a treat and is dirt cheap. Here is the back of my Cav after one application:

Half of it done:

I have just started using Meguiars plastic restorer on my bumper trims etc, lasts for ages!! Only about a tenner for a bottle as well which I do not mind paying for a decent finish that doesnt fade within a few days liek the simonez stuff does.
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

On eBay you can get rubber and vinyl dressing in a 5 ltr tip for £15 its what I use and have always used on my bumpers interior and wheels its amazing stuff if you keep using it eventually the trim will stay black for longer as it builds up a coating.
Also it helps prevent runners from cracking all my cavs have had it and have looked spot on everytime.
