Nope!! -

If you see the micro-fibre cloths afterwards, it can be quite scary how much crap they pull off the bodywork.

I am as cynical as the next man, but it is quite convenient to clean one panel a day in any remote location without the need for water.

And as long as the cloth starts out free of any grit or bits (that is - you haven't dropped it on the floor), then the polish / waterless cleaner will not scratch the bodywork.

The magic ingredient is Canauba Wax... as used in many other high quality cleaners, including Megs etc...

Just a daft question,

But has anyone contacted the venue, to ensure that everything will be okay for next Sunday.

You know - like
The parking area won't be double booked,
We don't need to pre-book for food and so on...


I have sent an e-mail, just incase. - Hope it isn't too short notice.
Are we expecting between 6 and 12 vehicles?

(possibly for evenings and special events).

I'd want to be sure, now that I've just cleaned and polished my Cav.

UPDATE TO POST -

For those who need to know when to set-off or arrive,

The proposed arrival time at the Turnpike is approx 11:30 am to Midday,

however as people are travelling as much as 150 miles each way, I don't think there is any issue with arriving early or late... as long as it ain't 8 am or 5 pm - lol

Full address and Sat Nav details are in the e-mail response from the Inn.

Well - It appears that the initial interest has gone.

Two definate Nos - which is okay
and a total lack of response from everyone else

Squigs is planning to attend (as I will be following him in a very short convoy).

Are we still going ahead with this?

I'll keep an eye on this thread, and if there is no more interest shown before midnight saturday night / sunday morning, then we may as well cancel the whole thing.

Sorry, it is very unlikely I will be able to make it. There's been a few arguements about how much space I'm taking up at the garage with the cav (who'd have thought a car would take up so much space once it was in bits :/) coupled with the length of time it's taken to get started and so on. Most likely I doubt I will see the sun shine on a weekend for a few months.

That said: Hopefully the meet will still go ahead and some people will take some interest in going.

definitely still going, i've got the cav on a hot date tomorrow with a bucket of warm water (might even put a bit of soap in it)

i'll also have the hound in tow, as ive another meet to get to afterwards
