Excellent turn out!! Wasn't too far either. Really nice to be in a long convoy for once. :thumb

Only got a couple of snaps of my V6 there, but there was 10 Cavaliers (our club) and various others dotted around the field.

Really like the show plates that Dave had made up for us. Will be hanging onto that and using it again.

I was mainly drooling over a couple of Mk2 Senators, beautiful condition, and there was some nice Crestas and Victors, Chevettes, a couple of Firenzas, Monzas, Asconas, you name it. Wasn't keen on the newer stuff, just nice to see the classics there. A really huge number of Calibras turned up. All 2 of them

It was great to meet you lot, hopefully we can arrange another meet up sometime soon with a similar number.

Hmm, I'm slightly suspicious of those pictures... looks like you photoshopped a clean engine into the bay there... I'm pretty sure it wasn't THAT shiny...

All in all, an enjoyable day, even if me and my Old Dear buggered off for most of it. Haven't been there in ages, and the exhibits were pretty damn good. Plus it was fun to see people being a bit baffled at the convoy on the way there! We should certainly get another meet in while the weather is going to be most good, yeah. How about somewhere closer... like Portsdown Castle?

Ye I photoshopped your engine  Looks clean, doesn't it ;)

Just spent 2 hours working away on Mike's Cav, replaced his coolant expansion tank and found a nice blockage in a bit of pipe which he'll post up about later.... still couldn't budge it.

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Really great day, well worth the journey.

The weather manages to keep itself under control, the exhibits were great and what a fantastic turnout!

Nice to meet more members in person and have a good chat.

Anyway, here are my photos:

Good show today guys. glad all of you made it in the cavs.

James, you seem to have photographed all of the Lotus cars at Beaulieu. Are you a lover of the marque?
if so I ought to bring mine to the next OC meet for you to peruse -

much like the silver one in the museum, but not poverty spec 170 HP with carbs but with a massive turbo, fuel injection and with about twice the oomph.

I love lotus! Though I'm afraid I missed the photo opportunity of the Lotus Europa they had not too far away from the Esprit.

I share the Lotus philosophy of light weight with top class handling, no need for a massive engine when you have those. Added to that they look unbelievably good and they're British, or were at least!

The lotus Esprit is my all time favourite car. I had a model of one as a child and it was always my favourite bond car. Personal dream of mine to own one some day.

I've seen the pics of your one and it's stunning, I'd love to see it!

Looks good. Ben's Nova is full of win. Wish I could have come down, but at least Rage made an appearance on behalf of us Eastern types!

That said, in this pic it looks like he's fixing his car again?! :scratch

that pic of me infront of her is the show plate going on cheeky goits. I did end up with a loose exhaust manilfold so it's getting looked at today apart from that which was tightened up on arrival at beaulieu it was a faultless day which makes a change for my cav she is spitting her dummy out at least 3 times a week

It was great that we all managed to put on a show of numbers and that many and their families made the effort (and distance) to join in. It was really good to catch up with people from the forum and have a good natter.
Of course I have the obligatory photos...enjoy.

Ahh, the cutaway redtop. The lads who arrived in the Astra in the top pic were going giddy over that, for some reason...

(And you could have photo shopped out the bit on my bumper where some tosser whanged it in the car park ages back... After all the piss taking over Rage and his bumper and all... )

I have to say, they are some excellent photos there Dave.

Really brought out the colours well. I'm afraid my camera makes my car look pink.
