Mini-meet, myself and Hayward691

Post by Cavalier342 »

Unexpectedly met Chris while cruising down to Rockley Park for some sunset shots in the V6, as he was on his way out of there  After a mutual decision, we mooched on down to the view point for a chat and to get our ears frozen solid by the warm inviting winds off the harbour. Rare to see 2 saloons in a very similar colour nowadays so worth some photos.

Few photos:

I had to replace my fog light bulbs as one broke, and I could only get standard halogen bulbs as a replacement so they do look very yellow compared to the ones I had in there before.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Was a funny day.... Got bored and went up to the upper car park to have a walk with the other half and kids...
Caught a few snaps of the Cav as well :)

We popped to the lower car park to use the loo and enjoy some sun...
As we left it was a 'go left or go right' decision... For some strange reason we met Andrei :/
Decided to go back and get some pair pics :)

On the drive home after going different directions... I came across this happy chappy on the Twin Sails bridge...

Andrei cruising the car parks again huh.... ;)
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

LOL!!! I saw that white Cavalier, young-ish guy driving it with a woman in the front passenger seat I think. But when I saw it, it was waiting in the right hand side lane, and your Cavalier wasn't there to be seen.. Must have been a different junction then.

And what did you mean by upper car park? I thought that was the only one at Rockley? :scratch

Ahh, that reminiscent weak glow of piss-yellow headlights. Not the Cavs strong point, I might admit.

Mind you, I'm undecided on the alternatives too... eh, as long as other people see me well enough to avoid me, I'm fine

It's the daylight, all standard halogen lights look yellow-ish, older cars are usually more so.

Come night time though they are bright as any other headlights. Also I had the exposure turned right down on my camera which is why it's dim. Chris' photos are much brighter.

Isn't it more to do with the slightly less-than-stellar electrical feed to the lights themselves? I was under the impression things got a lot better if you rewired them to have a direct feed from the battery with better wiring via a relay. Unless I'm mistaken?

Only on a pitch black road.... On lit roads they still don't illuminate anything  But he is right, voltage test showed that there was more power being fed to the bulbs compared to the standard wiring.
