SOUTHERN 12TH MEETING

Post by Lowrider Dave »

Okay, time to kick off the meetings.
Probably the same location or a brand new central location if enough interest.

Looking at Sunday's: April 17th or 24th. What are people able to make?

Sounds like a plan... not been to one in forever. Just don't plan it to start too early, because I've got that extra 30 miles to go to get there now :)
Never use another Cav driver as guidance to a destination, unless you REALLY want to explore the country.

Good show Mike, I'll aim for the 17th and the new location could be more the Fareham/Petersfield area...we'll see who's going to turn up. If it's just local then we'll stay at the usual place or further down the west coast.

Thats cool Dave, fareham kind of way is just as easy for me..

Jump on the old 27 and foot down antics occur until I get there, don't come too far west though!! Traffic hell because of the works around Ringwood and then the A338 is 40mph for 9 miles with average speed cameras.......not fun :(

New location for 2016!

Trying somewhere new by returning to the location of our first meet - Portsdown Hill Road!

At the infamous Mick’s Monster burgers car park over looking Portsmouth.

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/50% ... !1s0x0:0x0

Arrive from 10.00. First to arrive find a space where we can park a few cars together, no easy as it’s a popular spot for bikes and cars crowds. But hopefully less so on a Sunday morning!

I'm not sure what's happening around then, as I'm likely to be Devon-side for my Granddads birthday (assuming he lasts that long, that is). I may be able to get away before the weekend however, so I'll let you know closer to the time. As before, I've longer to travel this time, so I may be a little late unless I feel awake enough to get up earlier.

Wasn't our first meet at Rownhams Services?

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Good choice of location. Near Portsmouth historical dockyard and the big Novatech store. :D

Couldn't remember if that was the first or second. I thought Portsmouth was first.

First meet I ever attended was Rownhams but as its managed on CCTV Parking and a strict time limit its not a great place for meets, I think at least one person got hit with a fine by the parking police there

Portsdown hill is a fair drive from Bournemouth and i did prefer Cadnam but hey it gives me chance to give the old girl a blow out on the motorway.

I had a look in my spares, thought I had one but all I could find was a broken one.

If it helps the part number is 90332334

Think I'll take either the CD auto or the Diplomat on Sunday.
