Christmas Cavs

Post by Squig »

Anyone fancy a get together before Christmas, pub lunch social thingy and a drive around the countryside... you know, air the cars, scare the wildlife etc

Big arsed country dude... any ideas of where roughly?

Choose Cavaliers, choose Air Max, choose Tom Wilson and Ultrasonic, choose V-power, choose 6th gear, choose Toyo Proxes, choose to prove anything is possible... except stopping the back arches rusting.

someone suggest a date...

Silkstone just off the M1 (Jct 37) near Barnsley (Google Map), just south of Leeds... almost as central as we can get with a good choice of pubs near by and a short drive to the Peak District. I don't know the Barnsley area, though, so Sat-Navs would be recommended.

Or we could do this in Ossett and reccy D-Tech where we will (hopefully) have our RR day... (Google Map), marginally further north (M1 Jct 40).

Views and opinions people, how are our resident Scots feeling about the distances?

geezzzzzzzzz

J12 of M1 to J37 or 40 of M1.

thats alotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt of dodgy motorway service station coffee me thinks.

i shall save the pennys, and see what i can. if only my cavy was a carburetor, she would run on pretty much anything remotely flammable i found in my garage, like my old cav used to. lol.

hmm, i know Mike would be up for this, and he'l go half's on the jungle jam, so should be good seeing you all again, and hopefully some new faces!!

Novembers an expensive month for me, have the Tax due, and going away for a week in the middle of Nov aswell, but shall see how my funding is!

There's a regional meet from another forum being lined up for a weekend in December just off jcn 28 M1, in case anybody is interested in gatecrashing?! ;)

tbh, the more the merrier I reckon, just don't tell them I told you! I'm aiming on going myself anyway, as I've not been to enough meets this year.

Failing that, some time in the new year? It would be good to put a few faces to cars!
