Lets hope that the new showground proves better than Billing venue with all it's scare stories of thefts etc.

Interesting choice.

After a quick google search the only venue I can find is the Blaston Showground in Market Harborough, is that the one?
Anyway, it's a 30 mile car journey north of the Billing Aquadrome, not 18 miles.

It does appear that this is a new venue for many events.
It is described as an 85 acre site at Airfield Farm.
Close to the Innovation Business Park.

In a selfish way - 27 miles further north, is 27 miles less for me to travel each way - ha ha.
And about 38 minutes less each way in good traffic.

Googlemaps show what seem to be just fields. Given the weather that greet VBOA sometimes, it could be interesting...let's see what the details are closer to the time.
I mere 123 miles for me.

Who else is going to this?

I plan to be there early on Satuday and may even stay for both days this year if the weather is good.

No idea yet.
I would like to attend as I threaten every year.

I have friends on several different forums who are attending. It would be nice to meet and greet them and talk car rubbish all day.

Wife's health and finances permitting.
Fingers crossed.

I'm going to be there the whole weekend; traveling up on the Friday and staying 2 nights in a local hotel.
Market Harborough is a lovely place so I thought it was worth it this year.

This is still ongoing.
When Billing closed it's gates to car club meets last year, all club stand / membership plans were put on hold.

Combined with the fact that the club does not currently have an active clearly-defined figure head, as Humbucker is currently busy with his magazine work.

I am sure James and Dave will concur or correct my comments.

I have consulted with the missus (she who must be obeyed) as Saturday is normally her shopping day.

It is believed that we will indeed be attending on Saturday afternoon for 4 or 5 hours.

So - see you there.

Sadly - yet again, something cropped up and stopped me from being able to attend
