Good to meet some old faces again and some new ones including James's lovely lady Lizzie and Robsey with his beast!
Thanks James for giving my old CD a workout with your Tech 1, quite a useful bit of kit, I was most impressed which luckily didn't highlight any problems!
Having been to 'GM' shows in the past at Billing we found this one quite quiet I think it needs a lot more promotion to bring the punter's and exhibitors in.
Shame we couldn't attend for both days as the site looks good for camping!
Total round trip milage 310 also without missing a beat.

Thinking of original, I did feel that my car looked chavved up compared to the ten beautiful original looking cavs parked next to mine.

Couldn't help thinking that I should revert my headlamps to standard light units, and to respray my alloys aluminium / silver.

Good to see a few new faces, IanGSi and Mk3Alan along with the now familiar faces of James, Lizzie and Mike.

Also, hi to the couple with the lovely GSi who kept quiet throughout the day, until James got his Tech 1 out to re-do my fuel computer. Suddenly the chap appeared at my front bumper like the fella in Mr Benn, tee hee.
(As said on my WIP, Success it all reads correctly now).

A shame that the Cavalier owners from other groups did not pop over and say hi.

My impressions as a first time attedee?
The venue is very nice and picturesque, with a lot more facilities and activities than Market Harborough, but damn those speed bumps and the occasional pot holes.
Once on the site, sign posting was nil.

For the future, I will go again if I can do a similar format. It was nice having the Cavalier mk3s together.
A good suggestion on my part
That should be rolled out for all models in my opinion.

Obviously due to numbers, the Official VBOA event at Market Harborough was far better attended, although the club format means that some models were scattered about.

I suppose there is no reason why all Cav mk3s could not arrange themselves to be in a group in general parking next year.

If VauxFest is much better advertised and attended next year, it could prove to be a great event for the CavMk3OC / Vauxhallcavalier.com forum members to meet.

I will shut up now, and say - See you all next year friends and members.

A brief break from me shutting up.

A message from James today reported that attendance was much better on the 2nd day (Sunday).

He seems to think there were 15 Cavaliers today and much better turn out from all models.

I am sure we will see pictures from him in the next few days.
