------------------------------------------

For those that have never attended before:-
The Vauxhall Show is for petrol heads who have a need for speed, and I assume it replaces the old "PVS" or Performance Vauxhall Show.

VBOA is the original and Official annual meeting of all the car clubs for Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel marques.

Unfortunately, because of various factors including not having paid membership, CavMk3OC / VauxhallCavalier.com could not qualify for a "Club Stand".

Therefore if you wish to attend, you would need to attend via another club, such as the "Cavalier and Chevette Club",
Or attend as a member of the public on a day pass only.
I attended in July 2018 on a day pass and was able to park next to the auto-jumble.

VauxFest is the newest of the events, with 2020 being only it's third year.
This does not require a club stand, and so it is possible to do an unofficial gathering of club members' cars.
-----------------------------------

As a final reassurance.
The VBOA and VauxFest events are not "concourse show-off" events, unless you really want them to be.

We see them as a gathering of members and their cars, for a friendly chat and to look at many of Vauxhall's creations, good and bad, warts and all.

Also, if you are really lucky - the events can be an opportunity to find that missing part or tool at the auto-jumbles, often for reasonably low prices.

Hopefully we shall see you at one or more of these events. 8-)

Mandi, Ebony and I will probably do the Saturday of the VauxFest event.
Although we will see which day is most popular, so that we can meet as many people as possible.

Well, we're just about a month away from VBOA and it's still saying on their website that they plan to go ahead.
However on Facebook they announced that it was postponed.

I imagine that what with everything going on that it won't take place this year.

I'm still holding out hope for Vauxfest.

I am sure that VBOA would be cancelled completely this year.
I cannot see them doing a show in late Autumn, early Winter.

Vauxfest would be great, but again highly unlikely.
In fact, I am of the frame of mind that 2020 is a complete wash-out.

Probably why I have not really pushed to get my car ready this year.

That's why I haven't bothered with Oh So Retro this year, they say it's still on but I don't hold out much hope.

I think you're probably right. I had tickets for the nec restoration show at the end of march. This was moved to early August, now has been postponed until 2021. No offer of a refund though, but at least I got the train tickets after 6 weeks refunded. The way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if they're still trying to social distance next year.

It looks like Beaulieu have reinstated Simply Vauxhall this year after a 5 year gap on 12th September this year being the weekend after Vauxfest I don't think it's going to be that well attended & end up being cancelled again next year !

Santa-Pod, VBOA and VauxFest have obviously been cancelled.

VBOA and VauxFest are both awaiting potential dates in 2021.
