OK so I've booked my tickets & a hotel for the Friday night so I should be there nice & early this year.

So is anybody else coming to this event if so do you fancy meeting in the early arrivals car park just outside of the venue so that we can drive in together to try & have a mini club meet ?

Gates open at 9.30 for participants and 10.00 for the public.

OK I'll aim for a similar time I believe the entrance to the early arrivals car park is in the wooded bit as you drive into the venue, I'll be in my silver GSI all being well.

Sorry I couldn't be there this year guys. Lizzie couldn't get the time off and my dad was busy.

I was hoping I might still be able to make it but had to take one of my cars for an MOT and this was the only day available.

Well the best laid plans, as it turned out there was no early arrivals carpark this year so we couldn't meet as planned to park together but as I drove in the silverfox spotted me & there was a convenient gap next to his car so we got the only 2 GSI's there parked together in the main arena. I counted 7 or 8 mk3 cavs in total but didn't manage to speak to any of the owners.
Joner1983 came and found me we had a quick chat but I failed to spot him again to talk properly, good to put a face to the name though.
The weather was glorious & I've got red arms & face today.
There was a good turnout of all the different cars, my personal fav was the white E plate Nova saloon dropped on air bags, talking to the owner he'd come all the way from Wales for the show, the car is a 1 owner from new with 55,000 miles on all original except for the banded steel wheels & air ride suspension it was badged as a Opel Corsa & was spotless.
There was no Covid restrictions on parking this time so was like a normal event, but you had to wear a face covering if you went inside the museum buildings.

Great to finally meet a member of the forum. Shame I didn't bump into Ian again but I spent most of the day being dragged round the house and gardens etc. I didn't take any Cav pictures either as I was too busy gushing over the Lotus Carltons and a very nice original white mk2 Astra GTE 16v. I'm heading up to the Festival of the Unexceptional next weekend so I'll have to get a few Cav shots up there.
Any idea who won the peoples choice Simply Vauxhall? I voted for the white gte
