Re: Cavalier - C20 LET
right an update,
not done a massive amount but a few wee bits and bobs,
first off i bought some F28 shortshift linkages with new bushes fitted.
Standard on the left, quckshift on the right
also i fitted a Bosch 044 fuel pump, i had bought a cradle for it but i left this off for now,
standard
bosch item fitted
good size difference in them
since the last pics ive raised it , much better to drive now, need to sort the rear camber out now tho,
also today i gave the car a long overdue wash also, inside and out,
more updates soon as ive got a big pile of bits waiting to be fitted.

Looks mint, love the wheels on it
Why don't you remove that manky old regulator thing from inbetween the pump and filter? Pretty sure its not needed and has probably seen better days, Mine went in the bin a long time ago.

Re: Cavalier - C20 LET
thats an accumalator, holds fuel pressure for better starting
"No the temperature gauge doesn't work........
we've driven 150 miles today........
the heater went cold last Thursday........
they check the level when it's serviced don't they?"

Re: Cavalier - C20 LET
lol it doesnt work very well then, the fuel pressure drops after a few hours, which i supose is better than having pressure on the pipes ect all the time.

Re: Cavalier - C20 LET
Fuel pressure should remain, the pump should not return fuel and the injectors should hold pressure. Drop in pressure should be minimal.Cavalier-C20LET wrote:lol it doesnt work very well then, the fuel pressure drops after a few hours, which i supose is better than having pressure on the pipes ect all the time.

Re: Cavalier - C20 LET
when i go out the next morning the gauge on the fuel rail is down, this must mean i have a leak somewhere then?
