Yes, I've just come in from putting the standard springs back on! The ride on the lower springs was horrendous. The stock springs aren't too much higher and the comfort level is amazing. Oh, and I've painted all 4 calipers red. They look much better through the big wheels. I'll get some pics on later, gotta have a cup of tea and a giant pork pie now ;)

You'd have shat yourself if you came out with me on the local "roads"** with the lowered suspension. ;)

**Roads. Not supposed to have grass growing up the middle and only be accesible to Land Rovers like where I live.........

I think it has a kind of rally car stance to it now 8-) , so obviously I have to drive it everywhere like the late, great Colin McRae  :o

My standard suspsinon was comfy. but the hundeling was some what scarey, rast round about felt as if the car wasgoing to flip over. Very wallowy.

But then My cav is for me to drive and enjoy. its not a family saloon and its not to carry my mates around in. SO for me having stiff Bilsteins is not a proplem.

Try using Eibach springs. Cheap springs tend to give shitty ride quality.

My mate Girl friend had Gmax on her corsa, not the best. I put Eibach on my avensie. it made it look nicer. not too low for speed bumps. handle like a dream and still nice and comfy. ok not as smooth as the standard avensis. but the tiny loss of smoothness was made up for 10 fold buy the cars looks and handeling in the bends. made it feel more tighter on motorways,

Standard cars are to sloppy for my liking, unless you are making a family car, then yes, comfort over handeling. but if your making car to enjoy, then mod the suspension.

I dread the day I have to comprimise a car for family needs lol, thats when I'll get a comfy econonical car, dont want to drive fast with kids in the back anyway. and still have a toy for my self. to enjoy at the weekends.

i'm ok on that score, no family to bung in the back  only kids i ever ferry about are my sisters and usually only for half hour so who cares if they dont like my hard G-max suspension and get a bit bounced up and down over speed humps
i'm such a great auntie

The evil cav was lowered 60mm on 19's and i could get 5 up in it with out a scrub, and i had a corsa gsi which was lowered 80mm on therears and 60mm on the fronts with the standard alloys on, it stuck to the road but didnt like the bumps. lol.
i also had a cav gsi which i lowered 60mm all round on 17's and still had a nice ride to it.

I don't.... if the kids don't like it they can bloody well walk! Then I can drive fast too!
