just mucking bout whilst its off the road. tried my mates air filter from his super tourer but its far too big and i reckon it would draw in less air due to its size taking up most of the air space!!!

also another engine cover primed to be painted rembrant silver...

Love it. Also love the filter. You need the 200x200mm pipercross filter, they are awesome, google it.

cheers for comments guys, but regarding the filter size - surely filling up so much space means there is less space to efficiently pull air from? the k&n thats in it is much smaller but has full surrounding of air, whereas this will vistually only draw in air from one side... isnt that bad?

Dont think it matters you could say the k&n isnt as good as its smaller restricting airflow compared to thus beast lol

But ad suggest a heatshield thing as the v6s seem to draw in hot air check vvoc threads on different induction kits

Nice to see another V6 being looked after and worked on. Nice job on the engine cover, having it colour coded adds that little extra.

You need to isolate that air filter really, the amount of hot air that will suck in will be no good for your motor at all.

Cover looks good, didn't notice at first, subtle though. Nice one.

cheers man - cover needs laquered and smoothed i think too.

well, it was fine with the previous one on, plus the bonnet vent will be above it so that should help! But yea heat soak was a worry and I will figure something out!
