It looks better in the pics tbh. I had problems with the base coat

I wanted to do it in solid but only had base so used that instead

How did u have problems with the basecoat? Basecoat rarely reacts unless you were lashing it on thick?

Well this morning as the weather was bad I made my after market gauges fit the oe volt and oil gauges.
Finished of retrimming the face plate

Jesus troy u do like to do things the hard way!

You cud of just used the white plastic that screws onto the black bit and mounted the gauges into that.

Looks good though.

The don't fit because of the bezel that surrounds them. Also I wanted the gauges to fit tight to the faceplate. I prefer the look tbh

Well today been playing with the tig welder, I'm certainly no pro at this but managing to produce something that resembles a weld.
So got to work on a rocker cover to make it resemble that of the swindon version on the btcc car

My Cavs really coming together now the inside is the cleanest I have seen in years.
Head lining is fixed, dash is all back together, all gauges work and megasquirt is fitted in the glove compartment

Just need to remove the carbon shite from the ashtray then it will be somewhere near

Loving the head lining. I want to do this to mine at some point. I like the carbon on the ashtray.
