Nice car, looks great with the lowered stance. "The guy next door was telling me I was mad for cleaning something nobody see's but I don't care, if I know it's filthy then I know others will see it". Yeah I'm with you, I clean stuff I know no one will ever see but in my head it's the difference between a good job and a really good job. You can never be too thorough.

Right guys, not had an update for a while so bare with me and I'll scratch one together right now.

Well from page 1 you'll see the shoddy wiring behind the stereo and having a major OCD for things being nice and tidy this could just not do so for the time being I just stuck it all together and chucked the stereo in.
This was playing on my mind a lot, it's sad I know but that's just me!
So wanting my wires tidy resulted in this below:
Image

While that was done I decided to grease my gear shift just because, and I found this cheeky little fella, Billet porn:
Image

So now deciding to "re-loom" the inside I searched high and low for someone who would be willing to sell the wiring harness and even though eBay had a lot of cavs "breaking" no f*cker wanted to take the wiring out, so I scratched my head for a few weeks. I thought bugger and and bit the bullet, bought a load of black loom tape and heat shrink and just thought I'll redo it myself and just make it all nice and tidy, while having those thoughts my brother rings me.."I know where there is a cheap GSI in a garage if you want it" Without even thinking about it I said yes and went to fetch it.

The white £250 "parts car"
95k miles on the clock
coscast head with metal plug cover (which ive been wanting for a while)
mint interior
engine is sweet as a nut
BUT MY GOD THE BODY IS SHOCKING!!!!

Here IT is

Bumper literally stuck on with fiberglass

Power washed the bay and started stripping the moose!

So once all is stripped and the shell is scrapped I'll start putting the interior bits in to my grey one and all should be well, while I'm at it I'm refurbing the standard calipers and fitting those and getting shut of the V6 brakes and also one of the front hubs is being swapped. Oh and bootlid.

So cheers for looking again guys and I hope you're enjoying it.

P.S bumpers and bonnet are free to anyone who wants them, They will just get chucked

I forget the name, b&m or d&m, I was educated on it but have slept loads since.

I'm thinking his would suit them down to the ground, especially with the scooby vent too ;)

Cheers Deek, its got all the mint interior bits I need to finish mine off and the rest is just bonus material. The engine really is a peach, just a shame about the structural decay otherwise I would have restored it. Can't be many sub 100k mile gsi's out there
