ive got a big double garage if I loft most parts I save room aswell its not about my level of exspiernce its about learning and understanding a cav inside and out look at gsi pies 4x4 I got that back on road and I paid near enuf the same for that when I first saw it onli thing I didn't do on gsi pies gsi 4x4 was the back valence I have dyslexia so when I put my mind into one thing I can do it and learn the onli mechanical thing I cant do is rebuild and engine internally lets be honest you had to learn at some point in your life to weld troy so this is my time to learn as I go along thanks for the advice lads :thumb

bad news up on removing the carpet and sound deadening matting stuff notice the floor pan isn't attached to the cills under both b pillars and screw driver goes through a few places so im going to send her to the big scrappy in the sky ill get some pics up on weekend to the exstent of the rot :tdown :cry

you were prepared to do both inner and outer sills both inner and outer arches and whatever else you could see before discovering the floor needed attention so why give up on it now? you were going to do a course on welding and said there was no rush. Im no expert on welding but im sure the floor can be repaired

When you actually work out the cost of doing it yourself and buying the equipment to do it then £1000 really is a great price.

She needs a lot of tlc mate I've put too much money in my sri now I hate to do it to a cav but the cost is too much I have a mortgage bills kids a misus to support a cav to suport lol my budget isn't vast amounts my hart belongs to my sri but thanks for suport

In fairness, it is rotten but nothing thst wasnt repairable.

my mechanic who also dose welding said the bulkhead was rotten aswell he said the sri is solid and he would do what I did and srip the gsi and scrap the shell but this gsi will keep other cavs on the road with its parts it was too much and required too much money :tdown :cry

My foot nearly went through the floor pan as I stood in it to get a few bits out it made a few crunching noises then a cracking sound I bought it from Doncaster but it came from pontifract b4 the Doncaster guy got it it's a shame but I've still got my sri I'll try n find out off the Doncaster kid tomorrow what ground it was sat on when I saw it it was on Tarmac

still got 4x4 running gear if you want to make me an offer it consists of f20 4x4 gearbox prop rear diff and rear shafts
