Glad you like the photos - I enjoyed myself enormously. :)

Pete - interestingly, Spa was actually on the list for a visit on the first day, but the ferry was late then I found myself playing fuel light bingo on the A16 outside Calais. Thought better of it and headed for my first stop over at Koln.

Brilliant pics Dave, although my fave is Cav-free: the train against the dramatic backdrop. Awesome. Did you go on your own, where did you stay?

Tell me it was in the car with the seats folded down

Thanks for comments Dan. I'm quite fond of the train shots at Natchen myself, being a low-key 'anorak' I was pleased to get the shots, although it did mean a lot of racing along the passes to find a place 'right side' for the sun/backdrop!

I did the trip on my tod in the cav, although I was accompanied part way by two other cars driven by fellow experienced banger rallyists doing their own agenda. I slept in hotels, my old body won't forgive me if I don't have some back support during the night :)

The list of stop overs was: Cologne, Stuttgart, Interlaken, Chur, Interlaken and Metz.

I know what you mean about bad backs etc, but when I made a bed in the back of my hatch a couple of years ago, it wasn't bad at all. I put a good few layers down and it was actually quite snug. Plus with the parcel shelf you have all the privacy and shade you need for kip. :thumb

Yep, sold Tuesday night.

She's now at a family run garage in Worksop with a lad who's a Vauxhall enthusiast. AJH Cars (or DJH) I think was the company.

Maybe we'll see her return to the Owners club, saw it up for sale and glad its gone to an enthusiast rather than someone who will run all the hard work into the ground.

Sad to see it on Facebook (on the loosely related mk3 page) up for sale at a ridiculous price without MOT. He won't lower the price saying he'd rather it rust. Some people are Føkwits.

This is precisely why I do not associate myself with that pathetic website. Because it's full of morons who do exactly that.

This is why I was hesitant to sell my V6, and the only place I have advertised it is here, where Cavalier owners always were and always should be advertising!
