quite a bit of progress, i finally managed to source a genuine cav turbo gear knob and also a new boot badge (griffin), also a new oe aerial rubber, and a pair of front mudflaps.
I have fitted my rear bilstein b4 shocks, just waiting to have the time to do the front end which will include, oem wishbones, new ball joints, drop links, track rod ends and strut tops all sourced from germany. also new b4 shocks and my saab 9-5 viggen brake upgrade (308mm).
ive fitted my adjustable boost button and also finished my omega roof.
So not much to be getting on with apart from picking my new wheels up at the weekend ... 8-)

The omega sunroof is fitted so I can utilise the total closure,
Well work has slowed up recently all I have managed to do is fit my Saab 9-5 viggen brakes (308mm) and also removed the front seats and finally wired my electric windows in the rear in.. Had a night mare doing this as there was no power feed to fuse 26!!!

Size comparison cav turbo 284, Saab 308mm

well its been a while since updating this thread, no much has been going on apart from a 3rd set of springs have been fitted to finally get my ride height were i want it. My custom made manifold has arrived along with my 870cc siemens deka injectors and 3 bar map sensor, also my oil feed and return kit has arrived , i just need my car back from the body shop now.
It went in 2 weeks ago for what was suppose to be a little bit of arch repairs and as with nearly every cavalier out there it was much much worse. the price doubled instantly.

Its now had the lot done and will be back this week, here are some progress shots that they have sent me ..

Good to see the project still going well, should be a minter after that respray and wish I could afford to do mine but the old quids are a bit short at the moment..

Rims suit it too, are they keepers this time?
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Yes I think the wheels are staying... and so is the car, i was 50/50 on repairing it or re shelling it. But after some thought I decided to have it done. But my budget has been blown now big time and the old car now stands me £4700 ... still needs a bit more work but it's close...

Dont they always need just a little bit more ! I stopped counting when what my turbo owed me went into 5 figures, ive had it years though.
Its all worth it though, theres much worse things in life to spend our money on !

The amount of work I've been putting into this car and knowbody cares.. dissapointed to be honest because I'm putting several hours a week and thousands of pound. O well never mind.
