Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
Ive decided im not going to fit my new turbo and manifold system until after PVS and Billing, I have all the parts to get it fitted, the cavs running fine at the min so im going to run the kkk16 until later in the year, I don't want to start changing things and have running issues, then miss the shows, ill still be fitting my veccy phase 2 alloys in a few weeks time, ill post pics when I do

Very brave but prudent also! Must have a look sometime before or after the mods finally happen.

I think I prefer the Turbo alloys myself, but those don't look too bad. Would look better if the centers were more flush with the spokes, but they look ok on the car.
Edit: Are those license plates legal? I was under the assumption that nowadays, plates had to be plain with just the reg. number displayed. I.e. no GB or other side symbols?

well it was that time of the year again, the MOT test, please to say it passed no bother, well I say no bother, failed on washer spray not working, well you guessed it, no water in bottle . all was sorted an have another 12 months ticket, took some pics as well as everyone likes pics, LOL
also took my veccy phase two alloys to be refurbed, and new ruuber put on, should get these back next week, then front and back bumper and bonnet off to be painted, and get the full car mopped.

had the cav into the bodyshop this week, had both the bumpers and the bonnet re - sprayed, just to get rid of the stone chips etc,,, still got my newly refeburbed veccy 2 wheels to go on, but this will be done later, posting a few pics but bear in mind the cav could do with a good wash and polish,

took the cavalier down to a mates garage to fix a blowing joint on the exhaust and fit a new fuel sender unit in the tank, while it was on the ramps took some pics of the underside
apart from a few scrapes on the paint, it still in excellent condition underside
today I fitted a stainless washer bootle under the bonnet,
and put my show tax disc on the windscreen

Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
Not much of an update to be honest but ive been mainly driving it shock horror.
What did come evident latley was that the current clutch has about had it and slips on boost over about 5psi , but suppose its done well for 10 years plus its been on the car. This will be replaced over winter with a Courtney sport fast road clutch and a light weight flywheel.
On another note my GT30 has arived from Hong Kong lets hope its not made of rubber dog shit eh.
Said Turbo.
Yesterday i returned from a couple days away so a run through to tescos was required so any excuse to use it and get some photos under the lights of the under ground carpark. Its not looking to shabby considering its filthy after its trip back from PVS.
The wheels are growing on me but i hate how harsh the ride is on the low profile tyres but will be keeping them as an alternative to my standard wheels when i get bored again

I really like the wheels. Combined with the colour of your car, they look fantastic.
