pick this baby up next week after a long flight well glasgow to bristol lol only got 71k 1 prev owner and mint int what do you think ok for £800 i think been looking for a good mk2 but gave up then this turned up only going to be used as a second car let me know what you all think

is that XE or ecowreck powered, I can never tell?

thats more than surface, if you start hacking away you will leave a hole.

Good find with that car. :cool Like Gaz says the rust will be a lot worse in side the arch. Thay rot from the inside and the side skirts can hide a lot.

It will pass an mot fine, its a not that hard, but wait till the summer before sanding it off and seeing how bad it is.

just picked her up on friday from bristol drove home ( :pram done this a few times)only took me 8 hours lol
drove the 370 mls no probs
no knocks or rattles on start up
runs like a dream

well just back from the mot station and well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SHE PASSED the guy said he hasn't seen a cav in this condition for a long long time he was well suprised. he let me have a look at the underside and she is mint never welded and still with the plastic engine cover on the bottom.his son then came over to talk about the car as he has an 8v hatch but its rotton from top to bottom and offered me 2k for mine! told him i wasn't selling but would maybe swap for a mint mk2 130 saloon

anyway well chuffed £800 well spent i think :D

well started to step the cav up,took the towbar off,started to polish it but it started to rain :wall then got a jetex back box for £20 off a guy in glasgow said it was for a mk3 saloon but its 7" short from conecting at the pipes :pram need to get a bit made up or weld a bit exhaust off another car thats 2" thick or any ideas welcome, but it does look good sitting on the car will ad pics when i get this done

looks like a good find not many left in that condition , look after it and free motoring comes to mind when you sell

not added anything for a while (due to the weather) just o let you know the car has never let me down over the bad weather always started (ever after sitting for 3 days ) and never got stuck in the snow (god knows how it didn't ) hopefully i can get cracking on with the car soon will post more pics asp

ps does anybody know who has the silver gsi in hamilton see i whilst working there

forgot to say a guy at work has a 1996 rs2000 asked if i would swap he paid 3k for it but i said no chance (who wants an escort anyway) told him i would only sell or swap to get a good cav turbo

sebring back box,areo wipers,dvd player,smoked side repeaters,red dust caps,tinted rear lights,tinted front &rear badge,new gear,handbreak gaters,and pick up my new alloys next week
