right whare to start its a 95 1.7td it had allready been lowerd, the fueling turned up and the turbo adjusted.
shes a little ruff around the edges ist thig to do was remove the original alloys there going to be shotblasted when i get time (hens the 16" ones from my old vectra that only just fit on the back)
this is a photo if my cav i baught it without seeing it as i needed a car and this just happend to be going verry cheap..
there are a few bits to do but i will post them later
im still undecided about the wheels i will clean and paint the original ones and see what i think when they have a nice new lick of paint they might just go on her car and i will stay with the 16. i have still gotta roll the arches a little more.
i still have the sri interior from my cav to pop carnt beet a little leather in a car
thanx for the coments but im going to have to stop playing with her for a while and get my chevette back on the road.
i have been getting a little rubbige on the back when i go over big bumps in the road the tires are the right size i hope lol im not selling the whels there getting quie rare on a 4 stud now and i have only borrowed then from a frend (about umm a year ago hope he dosnt relise )
Im in darlington nice and central
no your right up the road envoy cdx im often up that way dont often have a reason but if i got out for a drive i allways end up on a1 for a bit of a blast carnt help my self lol
my pore little cav is in a sorry state i hate this wether i need a new rad i dont think i had the right mix of antifrees and my wheels are feeling the eftct of the salt on the roads i now have 3 tires leeking air right on the rim so im wating for it to get a little warmer and im going to have to srtip out the rad so i think im going to clean all my hoses and give the bay a good clean. i might see if i can get a difrent oil cooler and mount it right in frount . its also due a service its so easy to rack up the milage in the pore old girl.
Super clean looking derv is that, one of my fav colours. I ran vec wheels and tyres on my of my other dervs, didnt have a prob with rubbing. They were 15" but had a very high profile and made the cav sit very high up. You sure its not been lowered slightly even by 30mm?
well my little cav is fixed again apart from im replacing the bottom arms i have had the rad fixed there was a little hole in it. but im going to be selling her soon she just getting a little old now and i miss something rwd so im going for a vaux omega and its easier to get the kids in. im going to miss the 55+ mpg at £1 a leater. but i will have a nice tow car 4 my chevette as well.
sorry to hear you're leaving cav ownership. good call with the omega though, great motors. you've got a chevette eh? any snaps? perhaps a thread in 'the other showroom' if you havent got one running already. what model is it?
i been a vauxhall lad for years im on my second cav right now had a vectra 4 or 5 novas and about the same with the chevettes i carnt help it i have tryed outher things aswell but i keep coming back for more lol. if i had a rwd cav or be able to afford a 4x4 one then i will be happy but the wife dosnt like driving the cav she thinks its a little chavey. no dout i will have anouther cav at some point.
