Fresh air
She lives
Certainly does look more presentable with a good clean. Next job is a polish+wax, full interior valet, engine service, engine bay full clean, and underside.
Wish I lived closer so I could help out with the restoration.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

Many thanks for Alexia for letting me view this
It`s in very solid condition, though there are a few rust spots coming through on the paint work, it could be soon be sorted. Interior is in nice order and would just need a jolly good clean. The engine though is a very grey area, header tank is bone dry and pipe work in the bay is very brittle.

Would need a bit of work!
Thank you for the email link!

Re: Updated pictures of grandpa's Cavalier
If it has been stood for a very long time, then it is not too surprising that rubber pipework is tatered.
A good weekend of servicing and replacing dodgey components will soon whip the old girl into shape.
The 1.8 is an easy engine to work on, and she will respond well to a complete change of all the fluids..
Coolant, oil, petrol and brake fluid.
Does this mean you are going to keep it and do it up ?
I say go for it - you will be more than pleased you did.

If you know what you're doing then yes. As said before, the 8 valvers are a piece of enjoyable cake to work on.
