I'm glad you said that I've had a mondeo an no matter what I did to it it was still boring! It wasn't very fast at all but I spose it never let me down anyway I've had a mk2 cav now I'm after a mk3 cav an wouldn't eva swap from a cav to a mondeo!

Cav is looking mate some nice mod's you've done only thing I don't like is the m3 mirrors I think colour coded ones or dtm ones ;)

Just my opinion its your car at the end of the day! ;)

Have you got some DTM mirrors yet? Lol

What engine have you got mate? An I would of thought you more than likely already have an F16 box.

My mk2 was a 1.8i on a F16 WR box which was great with reasonable acceleration an a good top end ;) the SRi130 boys were quicker off the mark with an F16 CR box but they would top out at 120mph where as I could go past then an hit around 125-128mph!

spax i think :S

Bad Points!
went into the back of my mate the other day due to my brakes refusing to work! :(
luckily coz my car is so low at the front his car hit my grill and my headlights and nothing else! i already have an extra grill so easy repairing that but im struggling to find some headlights! :(

Good Points!
i bought a new engine for her yesterday, 2.0litre 8valve with everything, (good thing about getting another 8valve is... i can put the rocker cover of my 1.8 which says 1.8 onto the new engine! :D so no-one will know!) and got a f16 gearbox :D! fitting it all next saturday!
getting the ecu chipped as well very soon!
AND got my alloys sprayed black, ill get some pictures up when i've repaired my front end!

a) So uprating the engine will improve the non existent braking efficiency?
b) Do you have an after market rocker cover, standard one is no different to the 2.0?
c) You have just told the world, so no one will know except us and anybody else with the slightest intelligence.
d) 1.8 is single point, 2.0 is multi point injection, they are visibly very different
e) There is an engine number that relates to a 2.0
f) If you intend on non disclosure to your insurer I suggest you prepare to have severe difficulty getting insurance ever again should you get caught.
g) The guys that work for Vosa are far more clued up on cars than you (and me) are, and if any doubt is cast they have the power to seize the vehicle and take it apart piece by piece to ensure it is legal.

Just a couple of points for you to note fella.

Which wheel do you need an and sensor for? I got a rear hub with one in I don't Need...

I woudlnt even bother not telling the insurance people!!!
the difference in insurance should be peanuts!!!!
and i would seriously upgrade your brakes if your upgrading the engine!!!
being able to get to speed is one thing... stopping just as quick if not quicker is more important!!!

Not trying to put you off... or have a dig... but if things go wrong, someone could get really hurt!!!

Sounds good mate the 8v lumps are an under rated I know they're less power than redtop's but there's no sound like a good 8v

On serious note get the brakes sorted I've had brakes go on me and its not nice! At least upgrade the front caliper's to 2.0 8v one's if not redtop brakes which iirc I don't think there's actually any difference :scratch I really would be sorting that before putting a bigger faster engine in. And have you looked on ebay for headlights?

Just a couple of points for you to note fella.

To expand further, your VIN number includes enough info on your car to establish the correct engine number, and injection type to say the least... and it's printed (on mine at least) on most of the glass and certain places on the bodyshell. I'm assuming VOSA can access ALL of this info at the side of the road, simply because thats why it's there.
Is it really worth running the risk for a few hundred quid a year at best?
As stated this is a public forum, the authorities have the right to create a user name and browse this site as much as you or I have.... and if you think that will never happen, it has and I have heard of people getting caught like that before.

All the Admin and Mods on this site do not condone non disclosure of modifications and changes to either your insurer or the DVLA.

Sorry if I sound like a killjoy, but I want to make what Planetc said as clear as possible.
