...and the radiator is fitted with new jubilee clips to match the new rad and fan switch, I jump started the poor girl (she's losing electricity... and this is the third battery but that's another problem for another day) and after a moment to gather some spark she turned and fired on the first attempt no less.
I am at this moment happy. She's got a flat front and a low drivers front tyre but I can sort that monday, I'll reseal the buggers and re-inflate.

I even gave her a bit of a driveway rev... had to be done... should have closed the front door... the house now smells of fresh v6 emissions... the to-be-mother-in-law was not best pleased. :D

The cav's reign over the roads began today at 12:30 and ended 12:35 today... I think I have an almost seized release bearing that would not free off. So it would appear I have to remove my gearbox this week... in the persistent slush, I'd prefer to do it in snow than slush but hey ho.
I'm rambling so I'll shut up now; please feel free to post condolences below...

Don't take the bloody gearbox off! Put it in 1st gear and either get aload of people to push it or get someone to tow you in 1st gera, it will free off.

Clutch stuck or bearing?

If the bearing is seized then Dan's suggestion won't really help as that's aimed at freeing a sticky plate.

Yeah but squigs diagnosis of problems on cars is usually very wrong anyway so lets assume it could be a sticky plate lol

Yup... but today we have no movement whatsoever. Release bearing I think...

You sure it's not the pedal seized on the pin?

How something has managed to "Sieze up" in such a short space of time i do not know, my cav was off the road for over a year with the bonnet not being opened once in that time and still it started up and went perfectly line.

I'd be double checking everything if i were you to make sure its not something simple/silly.

Turns out it was simple... and weird.

The clutch cable has seized inside the sheath... found it disconnecting it from the box. So I'll replace the bugger and then I can fit the other new tyre, win.

Indeed it is fella

She also had some new all weather tyres for the standard alloys on the front, next is to sort the charging issue. I'd tested the alternator and it seems to be charging incorrectly, so I'll be looking for a 3 litre v6 alternator next, or solutions :D

That is the last resort... I'd rather run a 120A one (obviously) but after todays pantomime I very well may just jump straight to that solution and go from there. Oh and I'm 100% sure the battery is discharging horribly fast.

If it's flat in the morning start looking for the warm thing, something using enough power to flatten it overnight will have to get at least a little bit warm. Infra red temperature readers are good for this.
