Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Not much progress on the cav. They have been busy with another car which will be out of there way by tomorrow. They have done small bits like working ont he front bumper and smoothing out minor dinks, etc. Welding will begin next week.

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Yeah, I'd grow quite attached to the rat look and red wheels. The cav is having new front wings, rear arches, and as much new sill as required. Not to mention any horrors that are found and the rear spring cups are being replaced as they were on 1-2 year advisory from my man with the MOT garage.
The respray including shuts.

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Nearside arch was quite rotten so is having a good area replaced.
Off side was surprisingly clean, only surface rust present, but due to sill being replaced a section of the arch will be replaced anyway.
New bonnet

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
• Rear seat mounting bracket, that I need to get a pic of - I bent the old one struggling to get the back seat out.
• A NEW driver's side rear lens unit - plenty secondhand but I wanted to have a new one to match the new LH unit I have.
• bushes, washers, etc for front and rear suspension for when I install the bilstein/eibach new springs/shocks.
• Bits that I forget now but will suddenly remember when I get the car back for reassembly!!

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
There's a pipe on the inside of the driver's side front arch - what does this do - I can't trace it back to anywhere as whatever it connected isn't there - possibly the lower airbox which I removed?.
Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
the back of the drivers side wheel arch is where the carbon canister is dave, on mine anyway. different on a V6=no clue.

Yeah, from one of my other posts I know that's the carbon canister - but this pipe is at the front of the wing. I'll get a pic when I'm down the workshop today.
