Yes the genuine vauxhall pipe would be nice but you can just use any old bit of pipe, trust me it will probably outlast the rest of the car. I've used bits of normal pipe on many turbos now and there still going strong. Just make sure theres no kinks in it.

thats the problem Dan, i used a bit of ordinary pipe on my gsi turbo a few years back, and i carnt remember if if kinked or burst, but i had oil all over the place, and to be honest i dont think the dealer part was that dear, only my opinion but i would use the proper pipe for peace of mind, if nothing else, Ads

Oh and the breather mod is dead easy. Wip the rocker cover off, turn it upside down and youl see a metal plate secured on with aload of bolts, take this off and cut most of it off and just leave about 4inchs on under where the breather pipes enter. Put that little bit back on with the bolts and bin the rest, then put rocker cover back on. Done!

stephen, i will give you a good tip, if and when you do change the hose from the bottom of the turbo to the block, only connect the hose to the bottom of the turbo first, then turn the engine over until you get oil comming out of the other end of the hose, then couple it to the engine block, this is to make sure the turbo is primed and you have oil flow, if you dont have the oil flowing through, you will fry your turbo, Ads

sound like it breathing heavy to me.

why so much blow by,

oil in pipes, pipes blowing off. just not normal

if its a dirty engine i wouldnt use flush, it can released debris which can block the pick up pipe. seen it happen

Stripping front end to get to the turbo return pipe? You wont even need a jack if you parked it half on a curb! One screw driver is all you will need, a 5 min job.

7mm ratchet works well for difficult to get to areas.
You do realise you could see blue smoke reconnecting all these pipes.
See Wat happens I guess

The pipe will have a special lining made to withstand oil and normal pipes dont have this. But like i said if you just want to try it for a quick fix then any old pipe will do but get a proper one ordered asap!
