Hi guys, its about time i sjowed you my new cavalier. Its a 1.8 at the min but i have a 285hp saab b204 engine for it. The engine i previously fit to my old belmont.
Ill get some pics up of how it is now untill work begins in the next few weeks.
So heres some pics of it now.

Iv fit some eibach springs already for the time being. On the look out for either some bilsteins or konis for when i change hubs. Possiboy thinking going 5 stud for a better choice of oem wheels.

Quick update
Got bored this morning and suspected headgasket failure so thought id crack on with it.









Iv replaced the brake lines in the engine bay. Going to neaten the original wiring and clean the inner wings.
Still have plenty to do yet though!

Cav looks really tidy, the Expression wheels look well with Eibachs!

How dose it handle and feel compared to standard. I'm wanting a saab turbo for my v6 cesaro.

Thanks! Ye it just wants smaller tyres. It handles pretty good but the tyres definatly let it down, needs some decent shockers too. Well i can confirm the saab engine mount bolts straight up so its an easy fit! And for the cost, why the hell not

What do people do with the middle crossmember at the front when fitting intercoolers? Measuring up i might just be able to keep it in place with intercooler and radiator squeezed in, just wont be easy to take intercooler out.

Who on earth replaced those brake lines? They are shocking!!!


Rest of the car looks nice though.

Nice easy mod if it bolts straight on. What about looms, etc did you have to modify them?

Just read up on the engine, are you sure it's 285 bhp? Says the B204L is 185 bhp. But there's no 285 bhp version. Thought that sounded a bit much for a factory 4 cylinder block...

You just need the right tyres. My expression has 195 60 15's on, and when I replaced the cheap crap with same size continetal the difference was unreal. No more under steer!

Never skimp on tyres.

Ye the ones thet are on are some horrid chinese 195/60's
For the last couple years iv only run toyo proxes which have never let me down. Only problem is they're 195/50 from my belmont which would look abit daftbon the cav!

If i would have bought your cav then this is what engine it would have now, so not sure if your gutted or happy i bought another ha.

I would have been more than happy if that were to happen. Trouble is how light it is being an L, you'd never be able to put the power down.

What gearbox.are you using mate?
And so loom was a straight swap too?

And theres a lad on here who I think got the grinder to the cross.member for the intercooler mate...not too sure he has a progress thread on here.

Using an f20 at the moment
Loom involves abit of wiring, quite alot if you want it to look neat!
Intercooler did fit without removing crossmember but would mean i'd have to take radiator out everytime i wanted intercooler. So chopping it made so i can take it out from the front.
