Awesome car.

Whats the plans with the interior or is it staying as it is? I quite like the seats and the front doorcards just a shame about the big speakers on the rear doorcards.

The exhaust is cool, as pie said you dont see many cut into the bumper these days but i think it looks mint.

Thanks guys I love the Exhaust and it sounds nuts Lol.

As for the interior I love it apart from the steering wheel Lol, but that will be changed. As for the rear speakers yes they do not look great, but they are functional :)

I have got my eyes on a few bits, but all will be revealed

It is parked up for now, as the gritters have been out and I have used £70 in V Power and not gone very far Lol.

Congratulations on the new toy Mark, looks ace, and nice to know another is in safe hands. If the project ends up being anything like the quality of your Astra build then we can sleep easy knowing that another has been spared!

Is the steering wheel an Irmscher item? Pretty sure it's a mini facelift Omega item.

Looks the nuts on the standard wheels, and I was surprised to read that the rear spoiler is a Civic item. Looks good, something a bit different.

Anyway, look forward to further updates :)

AP racing 4 pots and two piece front and rear discs waiting to go on. Hopefully that should stop it :)

Along with NOS to spray into the spray bar on the intercooler to cool it down on the strip.

Had to take the radiator off this morning as one of the brackets has broken off. So it is being re-welded and painted, but you can see how big the radiator and intercooler are ;)

Haha, yeah you're not wrong! That's a very familiar looking picture! What's in the cardboard tube and the item wrapped between the two rear lower panels? Also, are you planning to sell any of those spares?

They are wind screen seals and other seals.

Not sure what I am going to do with them, as I don't need them now, but you never know.

I have been doing a few odd and sods recently, but every time I come to do something on the car something else seems to take priority...

Anyway I have had the radiator sorted and replaced the clutch cable so it is running well now. Just need to have the Turbo refurbished and then all of the mechanicals are sorted :)

Apart from that I have found out just how big the intercooler is.

No it's not a custom made one, but the car has had to be customised to fit it lol. Take for example the bottom crash bar, the backs of the headlights and other parts...

It was originally destined for a Man truck!

Nice pics Mark, I take it they're quite old / from the original build? Whatever happened to the bonnet? Looks like Lotus Carlton vents?

Yes they are from the original build, but it shows the size of it lol.

It has still got the vents. They are RS500 ones.
