Yeah they are pain to dry. Had to keep moving them around radiators, but hopefully that is it for now.

As Andrei said its weird to see the rear footwell heating ducts, I always wondered if the holes in that section had a purpose.

A paint booth would have been good, but luckily we have got another master bedroom with ensuite and a bathroom that we do not use with tilled floors so they have been stood up next to the radiators in those rooms.

Glad people have liked seeing how the heaters are set-up in the Turbo :)

I hate to admit it, but I think I might have done it testing the sunroof drains and pouring watering cans into the drain channels and overflowing them.... Oops lol. Time will tell though as the front carpets were out for over a month through heavy rain and not a drip in the foot wells...

Not done a lot with the Cavalier recently, as we got married in March and we had all the build up for that, honeymoon, etc... although I thought I better update the thread with what I can.

Got the car ready to be on the Total Vauxhall Stand at PVS

But I did not make it :( because of this

ImageIMG_7839 by m33rkb, on Flickr

Spat a core plug in the head the afternoon before the show after spending 3 x 16 hour days on it... Only went to get fuel and check tyre pressures. Just glad it did not happen on the way to the show, as I was close to home when it happened so limped it back.

All fixed now, but do not want to be stripping it down again!

Apart from that I have modded and fitted a Subaru Impreza rear diffuser, which I think works quite well.

Just hoping to drive it a bit now and get the 4x4 and new Turbo fitted :)

Dave955 did it on his car. That's where you would have seen it before. I think it works well though :D

The bolt is from where it has had the porous head mod done :)

Aye, and that very same diffuser is now on Turbo #2... along with Dave's car's Oxblood leather interior. And its bumpers. And its rear strut brace. And its door mirrors. And a load of other bits and bobs!

Damn shame you didn't make PVS as would of loved to see this car in person, lucky though I guess you were not to far from home..

Looking amazing as ever anyway, nice work
Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Not done a great deal since fixing it after PVS, although I thought I better update with what I have done.

Since getting the car back from the bodyshop I hadn't been able to get in through the passenger doors. I had been warned by the previous owner not to let the battery go flat otherwise the alarm will F*ck the door lock motors when you put a booster pack on. So I can only assume that they let it go flat even though they were told to keep starting it. Anyway door cards stripped off (awkward when you cannot open the door to get at the screws!) and the two door lock motors replaced (they are a pain to get at / replace) and all was sorted.

ImageIMG_7961 by m33rkb, on Flickr

Next up I needed to detail it again ready for Billing as the tree sap and using it had taken its toll.

After the fun and games I had with the door lock motors I was tidying up the engine bay and noticed water leaking out of the side of the battery (think the bodyshop might have fried it with a charger). So I took it off to discover this.

ImageIMG_8161 by m33rkb, on Flickr

Safe to say I was not happy with what I saw so I took a few bits up to the powder coaters and got a new battery.

ImageIMG_8165 by m33rkb, on Flickr

I know there is some pitting in the tray, but it is covered by the battery.

Apart from that I am on Billing prep.

Had a great time at Billing in the Turbo, catching up with fellow Turbo owners, putting names to faces and winning a show and shine trophy in the process.

Finally got around to modifying and fitting the battery bag from my old car. Think it tidies it nicely.

Armrest fitted and I think it works really well (a bit of modifying was required, but not too bad). I will probably get half of the cover done in blue leather to match at some stage :)
