Thanks. It means that you submit the value, you think the car is worth to the insurance company and they review it with the help of pictures and if they agree with you they will insure the car for that price and pay out that value if anything happens to the car rather than just pay out market value!

Correct.

.. just curios - your turbo is a nice example, the upgrades blend into the car nicely.

If you have any works done by specialists they will also take that into account

General market value - its a bit naff!

Not sure what you mean?

Do you mean if it has any work done via the insurance company? Or do you mean work service work in general?

As the majority of the work is done by me and friends that I trust.

If you had any work done by any body work, mechanic or similar then that evidence would also help with the overall valuation.

OK understand where you are coming from now. If it is general service work like cambelt, etc... then no they would expect this. If it was restoration work then yes of course it would.
