The bar welded in between the steering rack mounts is a commonly done on older Vauxhall track cars without a subframe.

But because mine is stripped out its not going to be a good car to model them on as most people will want them to fit with the seats still in. Maybe troys car would be good to use as a template.

Also the gsi floors may be slightly differant where it would mount. Would you want one to bolt in or weld in pie?

May not be different at all as the sills and rear bulkhead are the same. You would need to weld the bolt on brackets into place though pie

Yeah sure, I could fit one in the wifes Zafira just in case she overdoes it on the roundabout down the road that she spends half her life going around!! I will certainly remember that Dan has the kit though, if I were to ever have the time and funds available to join the club here!

Not done much recently but today i did manage to have an hour or so on it.

Made a start on the rollcage feet, done the front drivers side:

I also tried out the pipe bender on abit of tube i had left from the engine bay. Just wanted to see if the pipe would kink or not as some of the benders have a habit of kinking them rather than actually bending nicely. But it worked well, bent it as far as it would go and its still perfectly round all the way round the bend which is good:
