Nice one, looks very nice. I need to get a 3rd brake light on my loon, is that a genuine vauxhall high level brake light?

I was going to fit the Vectra central locking as well but wanted an alarm as well so i have gone for an aftermarket alarm which has flip keys with it that i can get cut to match the car.

Had a good look round today at the garage. Its very clean just as Gray16v said. Going to give it a really good waxoil with black & clear with the airline gun. Got it all ready, wire cuped some areas that need it and painted some red oxide on ready for the black then clear waxoil. Was thinking about getting my spare rearbeam sandblasted and then powder coated in white or red..??

Also changed the thermostat & temp sensor today and sorted a rear handbrake spring out, Along with the oil pressure switch needed a bigger copper washer..

Update time.

Started to clean up the rear beam, Took the anti roll bar off and the ends were buggered, Not to worry i thought got on to Genuine part search and a few other company's for a brand new bar.. Non in stock and they cant get me one.. So i had to have the old one welded up on the ends and its like new again. Also fitted some bilstein B6 shockers and Astra 40mm rear springs. which dropped the rear about 1 cm more

Next up was to sort out both rear wheel bearings which in the end just wanted nipping up a little. Haha..

Next part.

More new Genuine rare parts. This time was the air intake pipe had started to get cracks in it. So the order was made.. Also changed the airbox back to the std item but with a K&N panel from my old 2.0 8v LS cavalier. Seems to run alot better.

Next i wanted to get rid of the shiny non Genuine grill for the proper SRi item, I could of just sprayed it like i did on the expression but i found a Brand new one dirt cheap.

Got 2 brand new rear lights from a fourm member even though i didn't really need them just like fitting new GM parts

And the best part that i am really happy about is a SALOON BOOT TRAY!! Thank the Germans :thumb

Right small update, Brand new rear quarter windows as the old ones looked very tatty with polish and marks on the rubbers etc.

Vauxhall Green parts managed to get me a pair, Awesome!

But... After fitting them it made all the other black trim pieces look really bad. Maybe more so with the car been bright WHITE!

So Genuine part search got me 2 parts and the rest i got from Germany.

Got the rest of the parts Today so they have not been fitted yet.

I even ordered a brand new SRi or CD pre-facelift side end cap as one of the old ones had a little split on the end where the black push screw fits.

For me its all the small things that really make a car! The difference in black from the old parts to the new is amazing.

Update soon with all the parts fitted and some high quality photos :cheers
