Well that's step one complete with wheels now sporting a nice anthracite colour change, will be removing the front bells and painting them too. Front bumper along with some other small bits will be sorted this week and then a full machine polish to finish her off.

Hell's bells! That's a splendid bit of work and so clean too. It's an utter credit to the hard work you've put into it. Congratulations on having a car you can be rightly proud of!

so car finally done...or at least for this stage of the hunt for more power haha! been a great journey with some ups and downs but its all been worth the effort. Met some great friends through this and gained some serious knowledge at an alarming rate! had thousands of miles driving already which has brought a smile to this old mans face. cant wait to now get it to the shows this year for everyone else to get a nosey at it. Thanks to you all for your messages and help over the last year, look for the car in this months performance Vauxhall magazine!

yeah loving the snow foam lol! great day at silverstone circuit yesterday and now car is getting yet more upgrades! looking forward to better suspension as spinning out towards the pitwall at the track was a bit of a knee trembler! not for injury but the thought of the cav being wrecked was heartbreaking, along with prop shaft recon and possibly a new 3" exhaust system for some better flow.

cheers Dan was epic day out defo going again, she was sliding around quite a bit though.......which has now been rectified
erm.......camber anyone????
Image

Image

Image

sorted tyres out with some Toyo PXT1R's

Image

Image

Got some work done yesterday getting interior bits ready for blue LED switches to give a bit more "bling"

Image

All cleaned up to replace the centre gauges with original vents again.

Image

Image

going for some "opel" with this little beut!

Image

Along with this new tires and camber adjustment im sorting the suspension out via sending koni the dampers to increase downward resistance on rear to limit squat ( depending on condition of dampers) and a full Cobra 3" exhaust system, increasing from the 2.5" i was running, as Dan said its a bit small a diameter for a 400bhp car.

Dash is coming out again to get a full wiring "sort out" to get rid of anything old from previous alarms and components etc, then move the gauges to the triple pillar pod.

Das ist ein groovy trip komputer, ja!

Good call with regard to the Toyos. I've had Proxes T1-Rs fitted to my Cavaliers and my Saab c900. Absolutely brilliant rubber. A suitable aggressive tread pattern too!

Got these sent over from Strongflex to help stiffen the engine up, fitted all new engine mounts when the build was done but unfortunately could not get a rear mount anywhere, even germany so will prob fit the rear inserts first and see what the vibration is like from the engine through the cabin and go from there.
