C4V V6 W.I.P THE BEGINING!!

I hav a W.I.P on other site and im sure some of you will hav already seen it but for those who havent here we go.
The project started when on the way to Alton towers in the old cav the right foot got a bit to heavy and i blew the engine(tut tut i know) so anyway i was on the look out for a engine, when a mint V6 came along 1owner from new full service history couldnt resist.
Anyway enough talk will start with few pix of the old cav RIP

Its a shame with the first Cav, i quite like the look of that. Interesting use of Veccy door mirrors

I hate sounding negative on peoples WIP's but i'm not sure on the tail pipes on the newun though bud

Peoples tastes are peoples tastes if we all liked the same modding would b very boring hey!! It is a V6 so wanted 6pipes so custom was the only way to go lol,but there is also more to the reason and choice of pipe all will come clear later in W.I.P

I do like the old cav, not sure why but it works well.

I do like a twin exit exhaust, as ive got one but mines just twin circle slash cut.

Had a crack in boot panel so new boot panel on this 1,

O if anyone interested i hav a hatch back boot panel 4sale and saloon 1 with crack not that i would think any1 would want a cracked 1

Movin on to the skirts, i never felt on the blue/purple 1 that they quite lined up what with adding a splitter and a diffuser middle was always the little bit higher

you buy tha panel off ebay? looks deadly familiar to the one that was on my old v6 which i punted on ebay, random i know

Started with a quick mock up 2 see how would look one i fiber glassed it.

Then on to the hard work.

It was a 1.8lsi mate and i blew engine thats when i found the V6 while lookin for a good engine

As i'm determined to get to this years pvs, all my days off are cavalier days off. So Ive been busy busy busy today so much so that i never thought to stop and take some pictures, so instead its just the end result I'm afraid, do have a video of them working too, but I'm not sure how to actually post that lol

really like the look of the blue one in the 1st lot of pikies it looks like the one i use to own, what make and where did you get the front and rear splitters from on the blue one?

shame you didnt put a bigger engine in the blue one because it looks like a cracking motor.

looks like you have got some nice one off mods going on ther, not keen on some of the mods but everyones preferances are diferent, keep up the good work

The front splitter was off of a seat toledo 1991-1998

as you can see not much of a splitter on them more just part of the bumper
As for the back it was a R&A diffuser never actually made for the gsi bumper but as with the front where there's a will there's a way

Looks very good. If you dont mind me asking, how much is the respray costing. Im going to get my cav resprayed when ive finnished the body work.
