C4V V6 W.I.P THE BEGINING!!

Managed to get a few bits done and a few started today!

Started with a quick job (but no pix) tidied some bit up in bay like fan cover etc.

Then put new bolts and washers to hold engine cover on(good improvement for a 2sec job i think)



Also did wing bolts while at it



Then started on my arm rest mod but not complete so no pix as yet!

here how ever is the other completed mod for today!

i do beleive this chap is the one who sold me a twin peco backbox about 2 and a half years ago for a diplomat i had. it was chesterfield i think i reconise the exhaust. seems to have come along way since very nice

i can see its alot of work and top marks for that but the kit isnt for me. Seats looks gorgeous tho

Done front pipe today and fitted new exhaust rubbers, No pix as I'm guessing you all know what a exhaust looks like.

Also got a bit more done on vectra armrest mod!



And just finished re-trimming the cushion.

vec door mirror mod is not for the faint hearted mate. i wouldn't do it again even though i love it!

Whilst I respect the fact that you have put some serious time and effort into this, I can't help thinking you are overdoing it on the shiny stuff mate. Sometimes less is more?

thays not a prob t.b.h fully qualified vauxhall mechanic been looking at cavs alot (prefered old vaux's to new) since fiance got up duff n thought bout some oem+ stuff n 1 idea was vectra bonnet n wing mirror style modnver seen it before u got a link or explanation pal?

each to there own mate, i personally like all the chrome/ stainless in a engine bay, as if you have seen my cav tubby you might of guessed, LOL, but like you say everyone has there own tastes. Ads

Never took and pix to be able to do a how 2 mate. I originally did the mod about 10yrs ago and just swapped doors ova and tidyed up when doing this cav.

But it's basically a matter of cutting hole in door for the mirror adjuster on vec mirror as in totally different location then most of the rest of the modifying is to the mirror, few tweeks to help the fit, once get that far need to build shape up on door as vecs are rounder on the body than cav's.
