my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
Really nice mate, i don't normally like them, but they give your car an agressive look - i'd move out of your way if you came up behind me lol

Really like this cavalier, but it looked alot better with the standard headlights.
Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
i only trial fitted them, because the bumper is comming off again as its not sitting right, but they will be back. Adshumbucker wrote:where did your fogs go?!
Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
no problem mate, im not exactly 100% sure about them yet, but it does give it a bit of a mean look, lol, Adscavalier3822 wrote:Really like this cavalier, but it looked alot better with the standard headlights.

done a bit today, removed side skirts, and sills were unchanged from last year, no rust and still solid, so re applied a fresh coat of underseal and refitted skirts
then start to clean, paint and underseal the back end
well at the least it should look clean and tidy when its finished.

Good to see theres no rust coming through. How did you take the side skirts off without braking the clips? Do you push them to one side or something?
Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
if i remember they should slide forward, but just be carefull, they do dend to stick and snap the odd armon the clip,

i was about to ask the same thing; i thought that taking skirts off was terminal for most of the clips. good work though, nice to see in good nick underneath.
Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
i just pull the bottom out , then lift up, and the skirt comes off, i have a couple of broken clips, but my skirts have be off about six times now, and there just clip back on.humbucker wrote:i was about to ask the same thing; i thought that taking skirts off was terminal for most of the clips. good work though, nice to see in good nick underneath.

examined the rear arches and chassis legs, all in exellent condition, re undersealed rear arches and started to clean and re paint rear running gear,
if nothing else it looks clean

Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
had an hour on the cav today, couldnt do much more as it was bloody freezing, cleaned, undersealed and painted a bit more, not happy with the hamerite " Hammered" finish, but its looks clean
then got the cav out of the garage for the first time in weeks, as i wanted to run the engine without filling the gare full of fumes, started first turn of the key, and ticked over fine, needs a good clean and polish as it bloody manky. lol

Re: my cav turbo 4x4 work in progress
hey up mate my lads just got another cav a turbo but the izuzu type can't get on with his astra gsi turbo, it came with twin morretts they even had HIDs fitted , and yes they have been removed for standard although they are smoked of his old redtop which he broke, you will have seen this smoker as its well known
dressed up as a real turbo but in flame red paintwork , it has show its face on nearly every forum going but its a saloon ,hatchbacks a ten a penny everyone got one, just got a bit of work to do on it swap rear beam for his polybushed version, the one thats on is drum 5 stud off a astra/zafira or something, then going back to the lad who owns it presently for him to test it up a few trivial jobs, nothing that can't be fixed easy, then back to us been looking for a decent saloon for a while
then it will be getting a good valet as been off road for 14mths
