Right more pics.
More rot discovered, prodded and looked further into. So more bits need to be bought and fettled.
Looking for a decent quality sill for the passenger side now if anyone has one.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.
So, now the chassis leg isn't in the way - we can see the back of the inner sill - Rotten, considerably - so some fabrication and additional welding to do
Rear floor looked really crispy, but there is solid metal there. Where it has rotten excessively - it will be cut out and fresh metal put in. However, due to restrictions as much as possible will be ground back to clean metal (if there is any) and heavily heavily painted and sealed once the welding has been finished.
Rear boot floor is chock rotten, the old boot floor from my silver cav (remember Smokey?) was disected over a year ago for parts to make this one solid - however, hasn't faired up much better. But it is at least acting as a template for the new metal that needs to go in.
Rot already started to be chopped out for the new metal to go in. Discussions on how to make it better, are under way rather than having two lips meeting and being spotted together. Some debate on what is better, against what is easier and what I can actually afford to do.
Drivers side chassis leg, is the worst out of the two - holed in several places. Bloody glad I bought the replacements when I did.
How the cav looks from a distance, up a height. It will be worth it.
Rear floor isn't too bad, but as above, there are pin holes in places.
The front is so much more solid - Thankyfully.
