dont think it is diamond black allthought thats what the colour code for mine is (81L) .tried a scratch repair kit from halfords and it was no where near the same colour, mine is a very dark grey, coludnt really tell until i started to repair a scratch on the door....someone also mentioned that the colour code was also used for anthracite but havn't got a clue what colour that is and halfords did not have it anyway.

if its anything like Polar Sea Blue hun, it will have a zillion different shades  i know when i got my spoiler done i had to match it with a colour chart. Plus The halfords touch up paint i used was miles off my cars colour. Try to find someone who stocks Holts paints, they seem to be better colour matches :thumb

Halfords cant mix metalic paint very well. They never get my magic grey right.

Thats definately diamond black - halfords repair kits are crap for metallics (IMO), more so if the prep is bad.

Ive had 2 dimond black touch up paint things from halfords. The first one was a very close match. It went hard and bought another one. This time it was miles out.

Its not a true 'black' more a very dark gray like you say. Then because its a metalic .In some lights other colours can been seen it.

just flushed coolant system and replaced thermostat, when i got the old one off, there was not even a thermostat in the casing, just the empty case....jesus. managed to snap one of the bolts of trying to undo it,so drilled a small hole in it and stuck a self tapper in there.
