responce vehicle

Post by phunkymonkey »

right then, the new project!!

not a cav i know but still a vauxhall! :D :D

Image

its a 1996 td, with mot till july !!! bought for the pricey sum of £150 :o :o

the plan!!

throw away the noisy derv and insert a c20xe!!
gsi struts and brakes and lowered by 40mm

add that to a gsi front bumper and side skirts, rieger estate rear bumper,
17" oz f1's and then some sign writing down it to say "A.D.T.E.C rapid responce unit"(adtec is thename of my mates garage)
then a set of sparco bucket seats and a rollcage should make for an interesting little van!!

what do ya think???

what's wrong with a TD engine? I'd seen some very nippy Cav TD's in the past. is it the iszuzu engine or Vauxhall's low blow lump?

right then, finaly got my arse in gear to get the engine in!!

shinee engine!!
Image

the van before i got my grubby mits in there!!

Image

took the old nasty derv out!!

Image

then forud ot that it wasnt the f16 on the derv its actually a f13!!
so the drive shafts didnt fit the new box

anyway, fitted the engine and new f16 without the shafts and have to get them monday,

this is how it stands now!!

Image,
all running with a full exhaust system!!

all thats left is:
drive shafts
water system
gear linkage
throttle cable

then i can take it for a spin before it has the gsi bumpers, grill and bonnet painted and put on!!

what do ya think :D :D

Nice job hows does it actually go? and how many old buckets and bags of cement have you got in the back

Tim
Theres a guy on mig called c20letmini he did one a while back, its something along the lines of you need to do a bit of fab on the mounts and run both ecu's one for the clocks and such and one for the engine
