3 litre engine going in

PV07.Ran a 14.9@95 mph
The engine is fairly standard from an Omega but for this lot;

Comp ratio is set at 11:1,
Heads lightly ported,
Standard Cav V6 intake manifold,
Omega lower divider(this is made from a plastic type material rather than the normal ally version on the Cavs, helps keep the manifold cooler)
Pipercross air filter with cold air feed
Decatted
Cast ally sump
3.8 bar PRV

I fit my old 15 in rims with 205/50/15 tyres for the track as this lowers the gearing some. The rears are the std 195/14s.
The front end is lowered 25mm or so, the rear is std, in a bid to keep the weight transfer off the front to a minimum.
I also dial my Koni dampers to fully hard rebound on the front and full soft on the rear for the same reason.
You can see from the pic at Santa Pod that the back of the car is in the air.
If the track is good i get reasonable traction, my best 60ft time is 2.3 secs, the Toyo tyres i hope will improve this.

I took the Cav back to the Pod the other week and ran a best of 14.6 @95mph, which is 0-60 in about 6.4 secs
Pretty pleased with that, it was 0.3 sec faster than previous.
I raced a Focus ST and holeshot him by 0.1 sec and then he said he went from 2nd to 5th, yeah whatever
Had to call it a day after 4 runs as the clutch was starting to slip. no real damage though just to much power for it!!
Am going to take my Yamaha FZR1000 next time and should run in the 10's if i can hang on.

2nd to 5th is no excuse, it's a reason... reason being, he's crap :D

Seriously though, looks nice, clean and almost completely factory. Sheep clothes... just how a wolf should look
