So I would estimate about 6 or 7 metres plus...
I don't mind buying some tubing - just I have been so impressed so far by your standard of work, that I wanted to work to your good standard.

well the fuel lines were a bit of a pain, not to make but so refix. the existing plastic clips are rubbish so used 8mm stainless p clips.
.
Sounds good, do you have any pictures? Or part numbers for the bolts?
What did you bolt into though? I've considered nutserts..

Re: Troy's SRI 16V gsi replica W.I.P (rust wipeout time)
as i had no work today i fitted my Hertz 3way component speakers to the rear shelf.
i wanted my new speakers to fit on the top of the shelf rather than underneath in the metal cutout.
so as my shelf was almost purple and looked tatty i came up with a way to modify it but keep it looking original.
i had 2 mid range speaker and 2 woofers to cut into it.
i will post some pictures tomorrow also pics of fuel lines for gary and robsey.

i didn't want it looking ott. i wanted good sound quality without without making it look sillly if you know what i mean. i'm not into bass tubes and all that shite just like nice quality and i think these speakers are perfect. overall i'm well pleased with the finished results.

Well today as i'm exetremely skint i thought i might do abit of body work. having a lot of the materials already i thought id sort out my bonnet.
it was covered in dents and stone chips.
progress so far, i've done all the prep and think its looks pretty dam good. just put a coat of z1 4+1 filler primer over the repaired areas.
Tomorrow i'll flatten the primer back and key the old piant ready for the new paint

Looks shiny, I thought you'd already started flatting back due to the headlight and such.

Re: Troy's SRI 16V gsi replica W.I.P (rust wipeout time)
yesterday as i was working a got my super mechanic brian to remove my engine from my car.
i could of done it myself but its a job i hate doing so at a cost of 50pound to remove i thought bargain.
visually there are quite alot of oil leaks which i need to repair.
so heres a list of what needs doing
rocker cover gasket
sump gasket
rear oil seal
fit new tappets
fit new cam belt
fit uprated cllutch
fit arp rod bolts (piece of mind but may already have them)
new pully bolts
new flyweel bolts
gear box oil seal
new lamda sensor as its broke
get existing flat flywheel lightened and balanced (gaz do you know anyone lol)
paint up so it looks the part.
using millers oil once up and running
the car front chassis need painting as well as rust cleanup.
replace all power steering piping as its just rust!
thats about it for now till next time when i fit a forged throttle bodied engine.

Re: Troy's SRI 16V gsi replica W.I.P (rust wipeout time)

Re: Troy's SRI 16V gsi replica W.I.P (rust wipeout time)
right an update
in the last few weeks i had the engine removed. i have been without my phone so unable to provide pics of my work in probress.
i have welding a new A pillar to the drivers side so i could properly fix minor accident damage left by previous owner.
the engine bay was stripped and painted.
My engine needs a few jobs :-
rear crank oil seal
block repaint
a core plug
new tappets
new water pump.
new big end shells
arp bolts
i have an organic clutch ready to fit.
