Try the online opel parts cat.
Cant remember the address and am away at the mo.
I *believe* it is ATE and I have tracked down the correct part number for the modulator/compensator. Many channel already tried and no luck, will leave in place for the meantime but will keep looking just in case. Himselfunknown is sending me a pair of used ones as backup - that reminds me, have they been posted to me yet??!

I am fairly confident that the parts I linked you to, will do the job.

Worth a note to anyone reading about making brake pipes..... Remember to put the fitting on before you flare it. (Go on Dave, tell us, did you remember )

Oh yes, I remembered! I was in one of methodical moods where I check every stage - doesn't always work like that though!planetc wrote:Worth a note to anyone reading about making brake pipes..... Remember to put the fitting on before you flare it. (Go on Dave, tell us, did you remember )
For some reason my handbrake cable seems to be shorter now as I can't get it to attach to one side of the hub...arse, nothings simple is it?!

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Is it snagging on anything? Did you turn the adjuster nut on the cable section that runs along the rear beam?

I haven't turned the adjuster and everything looks clear and unsnagged as far as I can tell.I 'll get some pics up if I can't solve it today.

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Bolted wheels back on and dropped it back down off the stands. Started well after being idle for a few months. Rear hose popped off and wee'd petrol on the floor so fixed that with a new clamp. Just have to bleed the brakes then I'm ready to roll again.
Intend to go to the Retro Rides event at Rockingham April 21st.

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Handbrake flopping about and loads of slack on the cable - I think something may have broken, doesn't look like I'm going to make Retro Rides event at Rockingham on Monday after all.

Re: Lowrider Dave's V6
Check the cable at the wheel hubs, it may have snapped there or just needs adjusting...
