My aim is to keep it as standard and clean as possible so aint to much to do as its pretty mint only 86k on the clock everything works just certain bits need freshend up!

First day i picked it up from my mate who is the best person to buy a car from!

Gave the engine we clean up but the covers need painting!

Changed the bulb so the light now works :thumb

won a brand new set of astra flaps off ebay for 4.60

Number plates off still waiting on privite plate swaping more bloody hassle than its worth

Update: mud flaps are on pic to follow got a new back plinth from stevie as the old one had a bad mark on it

Old plinth mark is on the right above vauxhall

Went to replace it and found the usual bits where they go only bit of rust i have found not bad for a 20 year old slag

Its getting there poor quality due to ipod

could use another coat wee bit lighter which i will do but its totally hiden behind plinth

glad to see someone is keeping it standard. ive just removed my rear mud flaps off mine if there any use to you, you can have them for free

lovely example, good shout with the astra mk4 mudflaps , first thing i put on mine.

Good to see a std example , dont think id be able to resist the urge to lower it myself though!

Yeah scott I would normally lower it but iv only drove it twice and it drive brilliant you'd never think it's 20 year old and see the heads it turns probs due to disbelief there's a cavalier still going :-) think standard looks is what made me love the car so that it is

Dont blame you bud, cant mind the last time i seen a GSI let alone a standard one.

You should bring it to Total Vauxhall day at crail. Im frantically tidying up mine for it as we speak.

Whole troop of folk of migweb going, top notch banter and a night out in Edinburgh afterwards to boot, :cheers lol

if you lot are in edinburgh give me a shout and you can all come and point at the rust on my cav turbo,bring spanners aswell,for a fix my heap day lol.

Yeah mate I will be at crail day with it also a total vauxhall knockhill day but looking forward to billing great we road trip with a set of 11s left at the Birmingham tolls every year :-) favourite show by far

Update:

Ridiculously priced GM gasket!

Nice freshly painted timing belt cover and rocker cover timing belt cover is a bastard to get off and on Grrrh

New Fog lamps bought from scott

First up was to get the head and timing belt cover back on rocker is braw easy job timing cover is a bit fiddly

Heres the cold gasket was like plastic came off in bits no wonder it was leaking

New one which fitted perfect so it should!

About an hour later and some help from my dad job done much easyer to get someone to push timing cover down at the top to get that bottom bolt to line up.

Next job was to replace cracked indicator side light which dave kindly gave me

the crack is above the vauxhall badge
