sorry but this made me laugh. why would you need to spend 8k on a cavalier? you started with the wrong base model. if you do have 8 grand, sell the SRi and buy a proper turbo. simple.

I think you need to spend some of it on professional counselling
"You offer someone a sincere compliment on their moustache and suddenly she's not your friend anymore"

I've decided I would really like a sex change, preferably from 'none' to 'absolutely shitloads'

I have to agree with specks on this one, No way in the world i would blow 8k on a cavalier, TBH if i had 8k i wouldn't even be looking at the vauxhal range...

And turbo snobbery? If lets say he is going to be completely stupid and spend his 8k on some sort of cav, most people would start with the top of the range model and would be stupid not too. Even if it wasn't a cav he wanted whichever car he got you would go for the top model and then play with it.

Oh and i do think this has to be up there with the most attention seeking thread of the year, even beating steven77's threads :o

GSI pie - Sierra cossys are awesome, would love one, a nice metalic red one with the diamond cut 17's 8-)

I personally wouldn't spend the whole 8k on it I'd keep some aside for a rainy day ;)

Why not think out side the box and do something that either hasn't been done or isn't common like how about throttle bodies on the x20xev an generally mint the car up so its pukka?

I'm with you on the whole sri thing since I own one also black hatch mine has a 2.0 8v c20ne lump in it an I will be doing some mild tuning to that because I want to be different to everybody else!

My only question is that you realise you would never get that money back?

An I bet there's a few of you that have spent at least half on most the cavs on here there are a few absolute minters on here and that doesn't happen without spending money!
