Mopped and polished

Post by markrobertyeo »

Here's my Toskana red LS hatch after about a years worth of work including refurbed fan blade alloys, SRi side skirts and boot lip, removed rear wiper, pre facelift slatted grill sprayed satin black, completely debadged, full Vibe Slick sound system with kenwood headunit, wind deflectors, matt black sunstrip, clear repeaters, aftermarket mudflaps, Laguna splitter, colour coded wing mirrors to grill and trim, Irmscher plate surround, pair of spoilered wiper blades, modified headlights, indicators and tinted rears, Pipercorss cone filter, twin matt black exhaust and to finished it off, a much needed mop and polish to bring it back to its original Toskana Red as she'd look 18 years ago! So here it is until the next job ;)

Yeah I used Auto Glym to polish mate but its mopping it that has given it that colour and shine, I've never got it like that with polish alone. If you can get hold of a mop I'd strongly reconnmend it :thumb

Thinking about lowering it, only by like 40mm though... anything more and it just becomes impractical.

Hmm everyone has a facelift grill, I like the retro look too :thumb

I think we all agree the car is lovely, but your photos are also very good, nice and clear; they show your car off to it's best potential.

IMO I'd get pre-face lift lights & indi's to match the grill.

By pre-face left lights and indi's do you mean the morettes? If so, I'd love a pair of them. Dont seem to come about very often though! Like these? http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9 ... scX3-Q5Wsw

The pre-face lift lights have flat fronts & sit flush with your grill, the face lift lights you have fitted have a ridge in them & sit a little forward of your grill.

these are preface lift light

Image

morettes are also preface lift type

as morettes were made for the base spec grill like yours

as the 3 lines on the morettes line up with the grill
