I've noticed that post entry times are one hour ahead of normal time.

I wouldn't worry -
Same here.
But that means that the clock will be correct at the end of March.
(British Summer Time).
I think it depends where the server is located.
On another forum that I admin for, the server is in Germany and so this often reverts to Central European Time.

The global settings for this forum are set to Greenwich Mean Time / Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), as can be seen in the text at the bottom of each page: "All times are UTC".

^^^ phpBB3 timezone settings are a bit odd. Global settings apply only to guests and users not logged in. Logged in / registered users must set their own timezone settings in the board preferences section of the User Control Panel:
ucp.php?i=165. If Daylight Saving Time is enabled, the message at the bottom of each page will read "All times are UTC [ DST]".
