Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
She's alive!
got the engine running tonight, but the oil light didnt go out. im hoping its just a broken oil pressure switch. will get one of those tomorrow and see whats what.
but once that lights out and im happy i can get the exhaust, wheel aliment, and tidy the inside of the car up.
its getting there!

Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
right, well the oil switch didn't work. so terry had a pressure tester so after using that I know i DO have oil pressure.
because the loom had some wiring done it could be down to that or maybe a bath earth.
last night troy came round to weld the exhaust up, he made it look very easy and did a great job. I'm really happy with it!
next job on the list is securing the battery in the boot, getting a good earth and add my circuit breaker.

Glad to hear it's got oil pressure. I bet that was a relief.

Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
not much to update with really, time and money has been spent sorting the corsa out.
but the spending has started on this again
bought a sandwich plate, Odyssey PC680 Race battery + Bracket, lambda blank, magnetic sump plug, dash cam and i've just ordered a K&N Typhoon Induction kit a new one just came up cheep so couldn't say no
hopfully by the end of the year all the little issues with the car will be resloved and it can then get mapped and have the 4 wheel aliment done

Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
no images so far, but here's a quite update on things.
a while ago I managed to snap a bolt in the chassis where the anti roll bar brackets bolt. terry did an awesome job sorting that.
the rear view camera and dash cam is in and wired up. bought a k&n typhoon induction kit, type r steering wheel. got a oil temp and pressure gauge to go in soon.
and stuff to do is source different rear drop links, as the ones i've got are too short. Wire the rear lights up, wire the eps, bleed the brakes again, mount the ecu
and I think thats about it, I'm sure i've something else will come up to do!

Should crack on with most of that this weekend.
Have you found clusters for the rear lights?

Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
not far off now, rear lights have been wired in, changed all the wiring and bought the conversion harness and now everything is working bar the lambda that needs to be wired in. My radiator has a hole in it so I've ordered a aluminium rad, should be here next week.
then its a case of tidying things up, need to get an exhaust made as mine is too low, sort the eps out, get the wheel aliment done, mot it and what ever else I've missed off

Re: New Car - Civic EM2 Coupe
Mishimoto are excellent. I deal with their head office in the USA every month in my role at Japanese Performance magazine, and I am forever astounded at the quality of their parts considering the modest price tags attached to them. They sell all items with a lifetime guarantee too. They don't do anything for Vauxhalls (they're mainly Japanese car oriented), but they have started producing gear for the Pontiac GTO, which is a rebadged Monaro. Considering the similarities between the Monaro and the Omega, I'm tempted to ask them to send me some parts to see whether I can get them to fit. I guess it might help if I had an LS series engine too.

You really can't argue with the qualitly and the price. I want to get the matching slimline fans and cowl they do but its £180! so that can wait for the item being. If you don't ask you don't get Dan, never know.
